Philanthropy Company – brand and website design to drive positive change

A brand creative overhaul, and website strategy to clearly demonstrate the impact and success Philanthropy Company has driving positive change.

Refreshing the brand and website of Philanthropy Company

The Philanthropy Company partners with charities to grow income and impact. With 20+ years of experience, they combine commercial insight and a passion for change. Responsive to global issues, their inclusive team creates tailored solutions that drive results, showcasing the power of philanthropy to transform lives and shape a better future.

Brand refresh

We worked with Philanthropy Company to refresh the brand and instil their vision and the positive impact they have in partnership with their clients into a dynamic look that would standout in the sector.

Website overhaul

As part of the brand refresh, we overhauled the website to better reflect the organisation’s capabilities and kudos, whilst surfacing content with value to visitors and potential partners.

The Challenge

The Philanthropy Company’s website was outdated, both in design and functionality. Visually it lacked cut-through, didn’t work well on mobile, and was built on obsolete technology that made even simple updates a chore. Despite new content, the site couldn’t support the Philanthropy Company’s ambitions or reflect the energy of their work.

They needed a complete overhaul: a flexible, modern website where stories could come to life through rich content. It also had to perform – better search visibility, stronger lead generation, and tools their team could actually use.

Alongside this, they were ready for a brand refresh. Not a reinvention, but a sharper expression of who they are and the change they help create.

Everything launching together. Confident, clear, and built to drive conversion.

Our Approach to brand and website redesign

With our own user experience research (UX) knowledge and expertise, we worked to understand Philanthropy Company’s audiences and organisation, revealing what makes the company tick in terms of ethos and energy.

We ran stakeholder workshops including vision, audience, and user needs and goals exercises and hosted all our thinking, insights and decision making on the Miro online platform↗. This allows our clients to easily communicate the story of the project internally, track the decision making process and allow for easy onboarding and buy-in with colleagues and stakeholders.

These strong foundations helped shape our creative process for the new Brand, website design and development for Philanthropy Company.

We developed hypotheses for the Brand and overarching Information Architecture and used Tree Testing through the Useberry↗ UX testing platform to quickly ascertain if our proposed structure worked well with representative audiences.

Using Useberry for fast, valuable testing

Useberry testing Platform↗ allows us to quickly and effectively screen for relevant audiences that match personas we’ve defined, and test against User Goals and Needs that we have identified. Doing this ensures that any project, big or small, has strong foundations, and a blueprint our clients can develop and grow into over time.

We created a design system for consistency, and built patterns that give Philanthropy Company the structure to create content consistently, with scalability to grow the site’s functionality over time.

History is important!

Philanthropy Company’s history matters not only to the founder and the team, but to help communicate the success and wisdom the organisation has developed over time. To bring this to life, we created a dynamic timeline, showcasing milestone events in the organisation’s history.

With any interactive piece we develop, our main priority is building something to increase visitor engagement, whilst adding little to no weight to a page, and maintaining best in class accessibility.

Results & Impact

We’re proud of the collaborative work that has successfully created a Brand Look and Feel that stands out against Philanthropy Company’s competitors and powerfully communicates the expertise and wisdom The Philanthropy Company has within its people and work.

Not only are we very pleased with the finished product, our team has really enjoyed working with you over the past 6-7 months! We value your approachability at each stage, flexibility throughout and hard work to get this over the line.
