Improving recruitment for the Sustainable Hospitality Alliance

We have just launched a new website for the Sustainable Hospitality Alliance (SHA).  The SHA brings fourteen of the world’s leading hotel companies together to create a better world through sustainability initiatives on a local and global stage.  The website is an important channel for member recruitment, alongside supporting existing members and showcasing the SHA’s work.  It provides hotels with practical tools, resources and training programmes and enables them to operate responsibly.

The launch of the new website comes at a time when the global pandemic has had a disproportionate effect on the hospitality industry, and the lives and prospects of the already-vulnerable communities the SHA supports.

The UX phase of this project revealed there was a big job to do to simplify user journeys for recruitment, member engagement and training.

We implemented user profile management to integrate private membership services and content alongside a new analytics and reporting platform that offers insight into user behaviour.  This project required a phased roll-out of functionality to facilitate different stakeholder needs, and the rationalisation of the many sub-brands and initiatives the SHA supports.  All within a user-friendly, easy to navigate and responsive framework.
